Description: The Hague Conference on Private International Law is an inter-governmental organization which first met in 1893 under the leadership of T.C.M. Asser. "The Purpose of the Hague Conference is to work for the progressive unification of the rules of private international law." (Article 1 of the Statute of the Hague Conference on Private International Law) The web site includes the text of all the Hague Conventions (French and English, if available) and related documents, such as explanatory reports, status reports, bibliographic information of other translations, reservations and declarartions, and bibliographies. Documents of recently completed and current projects are also available from the web site.
