Description: The African International Courts and Tribunals (AICT) web site has been developed by the Project on International Courts and Tribunals (PICT). The site aims to provide "a centralized source for scholars, practitioners and laypersons working in or on the Continent and a reference to the work of these courts and tribunals for others studying the global phenomenon." (See home page.) For each court and tribunal covered there is information on the following: an overview; recent news; basic documents; selected bibliography; biographies of its judges; and related jurisprudence from Member States. AICT covers continental court (ACHPR & ACJ), subregional courts (COMESA, SADC, etc.) , international criminal courts for African conflicts (ICTR and SCSL), and other courts handling African cases (ICC, ICJ, ITLOS, PCA, and the WTO dispute settlement system).
