|Description:||The Maritime Labour Convention consolidates and updates nearly all of the existing ILO Conventions relating to seafarers. Its five major titles cover minimum requirements for seafarers, conditions of employment, accommodation, health and welfare, and compliance and enforcement.
The Convention includes Articles, Regulations , and a Code (Part A mandatory Standards, Part B non-mandatory Guidelines). To increase enforcement of standards, the Convention provides for a Maritime Labour Certificate & a Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance.
