Description: Telford Taylor, a Harvard trained lawyer was an United States Army Colonel when in 1944 he was assigned to the legal team of Robert H. Jackson, lead U.S. prosecutor for the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial. After the first trial, Jackson resigned his position and Telford Taylor was promoted to Brigadier General and became Chief Counsel for the remaining twelve trials. Taylor went on to the private practice of law and later became a distinguished law professor. This web site provides information on the extensive papers which Taylor kept throughout his life as well as biographical information and photographs of the Nuremberg Trials.
