Established as the Caribbean Community and Common Market by the Treaty of Chaguaramas signed on 4 July 1973. By Treaty revision, effective February 2002, the successor entity is now the Caribbean Community, including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME). It's objectives include improved standards of living and work; expansion of trade and economic relations with third States; enhanced levels of international competitiveness; among others.
