Description: | During the second Hague Peace Conference, held in 1907, the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes of 1899 that established the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) was expanded and opened to a greater number of signatories, including Latin American states. The 1907 Convention replaces the earlier Convention and is in force for States that were not signatories to the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes of 1899. An updated list of the Signatory and Contracting Powers of both conventions is available. |
