Description: The International Convention for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas established a framework for research, conservation and management of tunas and tuna-like species in the Atlantic and adjacent seas. To carry out the Convention's purposes, it created the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT).
