| Description: | This is the official codified text of the Andean Subregional Integration Agreement. The codified text includes the original Cartagena Agreement , the Protocol of Trujillo (1996), the Protocol of Sucre (1997), and the Additional Protocol to the Cartagena Agreement . The Cartagena Agreement was originally signed on May 26, 1969 (8 ILM 910) creating the Andean Group. At it inception, the Andean Group consisted of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. In March 1996, the heads of states of the current member countries, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, adopted the Modification Protocol to the Cartagena Agreement, which created the Andean Community (CAN, Comunidad Andina). A Spanish version is also available. |
