||The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation is a forum for facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. Initiated in November 1989 as an informal consultative forum, APEC promotes multilateral economic cooperation on issues of trade and investment. APEC has a membership of 21countries. Information is available on member economies, APEC activities, ministerial meetings and news. Also included are a virtual library, online publications, and databases on tariffs and APEC projects.
