Description: The Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity adopted the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety to address potential risks posed by modern biotechnology. The protocol establishes a Biosafety Clearing-House to "facilitate the exchange of scientific, technical, environmental and legal information on, and experience with, living modified organisms."
The protocol is available in both PDF and MS Word formats.
