Description: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) to assess the scientific, technical and socio-economic literature relevant to understanding the scientific basis of human-induced climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. IPCC issues periodic reports on the state of knowledge on climate change. An internal search engine allows for searching within the site. The site provides access to summaries, special reports and technical papers, selected treaties, and information about meetings and other activities of the organization.
