Description: This chapter of the ASIL's web-based Electronic Resource Guide (ERG) provides detailed assistance to researchers of intellectual property law on the international level. Its author, Jonathan Franklin, states, "International intellectual property law is a patchwork area of intersecting multilateral and bilateral agreements and their resulting harmonization of national laws." (See Introduction to Guide) He includes general and specific tips for doing electronic research in this chapter, the scope of which encompasses the most important primary and secondary sources, including major institutions and best web resources. Regional and national organizations are covered as well. The guide is updated twice a year.
