|Description:||Originally adopted on June 21, 1976, the Declaration “constitutes a policy commitment to improve the investment climate of OECD members countries and encourage the positive contribution multinational enterprises can make to economic and social progress.” The Declaration consists of four elements: Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, National Treatment, Conflicting Requirements, International Investment Incentives and Disincentives. All elements are subject to periodical review. It was reviewed in 1979, 1984, 1991 and 2000.
