| Description: | This Convention terminated the 1959 TIR Carnets Convention as between parties to both. It governs international transport of goods under travel document called TIR Carnet. The Convention contains the standard form TIR Carnet. According to UNECE's background page, the TIR Carnet is one of the most successful international transport conventions, and remains as the only universal customs transport agreement in existence. |
