Description: The Convention for the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping from Ships and Aircraft (Oslo Convention) was entered into by several European nations as an early attempt to regulate dumping of pollutants from ships and aircraft. In 1998, the Oslo Convention was replaced by the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic (OSPAR Convention).
