|Description:||The primary objective of EUMETSAT is to establish, maintain and exploit European systems of operational meteorological satellites. A further objective is to contribute to the monitoring and detection of global climate change.
This is the version as amended by the EUMETSAT Council in Resolution EUM/C/Res.XXXVI of 5 June 1991, and subsequently accepted by all EUMETSAT Member States. The legal citation given below is the citation for the original Convention. The amending protocol (included here) is cited as BPP Misc. 16 (1991), Cm 1665.
