Alternative Title(s): Analytical Guide
ILC Analytical Guide
Available From: http://legal.un.org/ilc/guide/gfra.htm
Description: The Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs has prepared an online Analytical Guide to the Work of the International Law Commission, based on the recently published Analytical Guide to the Work of the International Law Commission, 1949 to 1997. The Guide documents the development of various topics of international law providing citation information to original source materials.
Topics include sources of international law, subjects of international law, succession of states, state jurisdiction/immunity from jurisdiction, law of organizations, position of the individual in international law, international criminal law, law of international spaces, law of international relations, and settlement of disputes. Annexes include a listing of members of the International Law Commission and Special Rapporteurs of the International Law Commission. It is intended to serve as a research tool for researchers and academics to evaluate the Commission's contribution to the codification and progressive development of international law during its first fifty years of existence. The Guide can be searched from the Table of Contents or by using pull down menus of the Quick Search Guide. The web version of the Guide will be kept up to date. Based on information from the Guide's web site.
