| The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) began operations in 1969 and is is the world’s largest international source of funding for population and reproductive health programs. The three main areas of UNFPA’s work are: assistance to ensure universal access to reproductive health, support of population and development strategies that enable capacity-building, and the promotion of awareness about and advocacy for population and development issues. |
